You probably already recognise the fact that you need a Will, and when it comes to it, you will have a choice about where to turn to access legal services. In this short article we are going to explain why choosing Soteria Planning is the right way to proceed.

Firstly, Soteria Planning was set up to provide a friendly and affordable estate planning service where customers felt like they were being listened to and where they got proper advice, specific to their circumstances. Soteria Planning founder – Jamie Shepherd set up the business back in 2020 after years working in estate planning. It was his intention to provide a service that he would expect to receive and thus Soteria Planning was born.

For those that don’t know, the name Soteria Planning comes from Soteria – the Greek Goddess of Safety and Preservation and that is exactly what we want our clients to feel – both safe and for their assets to be preserved.

Over the last two years we have seen well over 1500 clients and almost all of them have come from referrals from clients or from the professional partners that we work with. Since launching our business we have attracted professional advisers who are time served and who love the Soteria Planning ethos.

• We (all of our advisers) are members of The Society of Will Writers (SWW) and will have been trained by The College of Will Writing.
• As members of the SWW we must hold professional indemnity insurance (minimum level of cover is £2.5m) and renew this annually.
• All of our staff are required to maintain 24 hours of professional training every year and often exceed this.
• If you’re ever dissatisfied with our service (it’s not happened yet) you’re welcome to advance your complaint to the SWW.
• When conducting appointments, we do everything we can to ensure you have the best experience possible. This includes sending over a link for you to book an appointment at a time and date that suits you.
• We provide you with documents that are not only explained to you so that you can understand them, but written in plain English too.
