Our Mission
I founded Soteria Planning with a clear vision: to control the entire estate planning process, ensuring that every step reflects my values of integrity, affordability, and high-class service. My mission has always been to provide exceptional services to local people, supported by a team that shares my dedication to these principles.
Proud Moments
One of the proudest moments for me was when Soteria Planning was nominated as the 'Will Writing Company of the Year' two years in a row at The National Wills and Probate Awards. This recognition affirmed our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.
Keys to Success
Our success can be attributed to bringing the estate planning industry into the 21st century. By embracing modern technology—such as Zoom consultations, a Calendly booking system, and an impressive website—we've made estate planning more accessible and efficient for our clients.
Services Offered
At Soteria Planning, we offer a comprehensive range of services, including Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), Trusts, and Document Storage. These services provide complete estate planning solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.
What Sets Us Apart
Integrity, flexibility, and strong values are what set Soteria Planning apart from competitors. Our commitment to these principles ensures that clients receive trustworthy and adaptable services designed for their unique situations.
Evolution and Milestones
Starting as a one-man operation, Soteria Planning has grown significantly. In our first year, we turned over £120k. Last year, we achieved a turnover of £400k, and this year we are on target to reach £500k. We have also onboarded over 150 companies that introduce work to us, showcasing significant growth and industry trust.
Overcoming Challenges
Challenges such as ensuring the right fit for staff and managing cash flow have been part of our journey. We overcame these obstacles through careful selection of team members and strategic financial planning, which were crucial for our continued growth.
Common Estate Planning Mistakes
A common mistake in estate planning is improper document storage and failure to update documents regularly. We advise clients to review and update their estate planning documents every 3-5 years to ensure they remain accurate and effective.
Community Contribution
Soteria Planning is dedicated to supporting our community through various initiatives. We sponsor local sports clubs and actively participate in events like the London Marathon, where we raised over £2500 for a local MS charity. Additionally, we organized a Golf Day at Calcot Golf Course, raising over £500 for Dingley’s Promise, and sponsor the Wokingham and Emmbrook Men's football team, providing match day coats, training tops, and a new substitutes board. Our community involvement underscores our commitment to giving back and fostering strong community ties.
